A few important points...
Dear Members of the SMC,
A quick note to address a couple of issues regarding our meetings at the Hassocks Hotel:
Firstly, there have been some comments made about the mess we have occasionally left behind (playing cards, balloons etc.). Could we all please tidy up after ourselves and leave the room in a respectful condition.
Secondly, some people have taken their own drinks and used the Hassocks Hotel’s glasses. This has not gone down well!! And generally we are not spending as much money at the bar as the Hassocks Hotel had hoped for and expected!
Most people agree that it is a fantastic venue AND we have it at a great price at the moment, so, please let us do our best to create a positive relationship.

Do we need the assurance of insurance?
It's been brought to our attention that we should really have insurance for members when we perform as a society at either The Hassocks or external venues like the Reigate show. This insurance is could to cost in the region of £150, but would cover us for around £4 million should your flash paper also make the theatre curtains go up in flames, so before we commit to anything we'd like your opinions so if you could email me your thoughts as soon as possible as we have the President's show evening in October and if we decide we need the insurance we may as well get it in place before then.
